Qizibay, China Thrills With Signature Waterslides

TNTY Waterparks, supplier of waterparks, is proud to recognize the success of the Qizibay Grand New Century Resort as it approaches its second anniversary. The luxury resort features a variety of unique, signature waterslides and attractions.Qizibay is located along the coast of Hainan, which is one of South China’s most popular tourist destinations. Hainan is the smallest and southernmost province of the country. While the island is home to many rivers, it has very few natural lakes. That fact, along with its warm, subtropical climate, makes the luxury waterpark all the more appealing to both residents and tourists.

The exceptional quality and engineering expertise of TNTY’s product line – most particularly its unique translucent waterslide components, patented Natural Light Effects and Special Pattern Effects technologies – pushed TNTY to the top of the list when Qizibay’s management team was choosing its amenities for the 27,500-square-meter (290.6-square-feet) waterpark.

Qizibay debuted its hotel in May 2016, followed by the opening of the waterpark in July 2016. Operated by New Century Tourism Group – China’s biggest nonstate operator of four-stars-or-above hotels – the resort includes several of TNTYs hybrid ride designs. The development of these combo attractions offers guests exciting slide paths and unexpected G-force changes. Specifically, the resort features TNTY’s Super Combo, an award-winning waterslide with five different slide paths that is the highlight of the project. But guests’ adrenaline-pumping options don’t end there. They also can take turns on TNTY’s Sphere, Space Boat, Uphill Flying Boats, Navigatour, Black Hole, Blackhole-Turbolance Combo, Blackhole-Rafting Combo, Compact Slide and Wide Slide.

The youngest guests have their own set of specially sized attractions at Qizibay to keep them busy, including: Kids Freefall, Kids Slide, Octopus Slide, Mini Pirate Slide, Cobra Slide, Frog Slide, Clown Shower, Mushroom, Dolphin Fountain and a Water Playstructure (Type B09 V2).

Another unique attraction at the resort is a SurfStream standing wave machine. Designed by American Wave Machines (Solana Beach, Calif.) – the world’s leading wave pool, surf park and wave-technology company – the machine allows surfers to ride real surfboards and experience genuine surfing outside of the ocean, as well as body boarding and body surfing. This installation of a SurfStream is the first in Southeast Asia.
